Flexible Nursing Work Across Your Local Community
GPAC-N connects experienced Practice Nurses (Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses) with General Practitioners who need skilled clinical support across their local area.
Our model is designed for nurses who value flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful clinical work while supporting high-quality patient care.
Rather than traditional employment models tied to fixed shifts, GPAC-N enables nurses to engage as independent contractors, undertaking clearly defined clinical tasks for GPs across your region.
This allows you to select the work you do, when you do it, and where you do it.
Why Join?
-
GPAC-N offers a modern approach to nursing engagement.
Work is task-based rather than time-based, allowing you to accept work that fits around your schedule, family commitments, or other professional roles.
You may choose to work:
Occasionally
Regularly
As part of a portfolio career

Benefits include:
Greater work variety
Reduced travel distances
Opportunities to build relationships with multiple GPs
Exposure to a wider range of clinical work
-
Certain tasks within the GPAC-N network can be completed remotely from home, supporting greater flexibility in how you structure your working week.
Examples may include:
Clinical preparation for Chronic Disease Management
Care plan preparation
Documentation and coordination support
Who We Are Looking For
GPAC-N is seeking experienced Practice Nurses (RNs and ENs) who understand the unique dynamics of General Practice and Aged Care.
Ideal applicants will have experience in:
General Practice nursing
Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) care
Chronic disease management
Preventative health programs
Nurses with experience across both General Practice and Aged Care bring particular value to the network, as you will understand how to navigate the needs of patients, doctors, and care facilities, while maintaining a strong focus on clinical quality and patient safety.
Clinical work you may be engaged for
Nurses in the GPAC-N network may be engaged to support GPs with a range of high-value clinical services across general practice and aged care settings.
Complex Wound Dressings
Deliver skilled wound care for patients with complex dressing needs, supporting continuity of care between the GP, patient, and care team.
ECG, ABI & Other Diagnostics
Provide practical clinical support through diagnostic procedures such as ECGs, ABI testing, and other in-practice assessments that assist GP decision-making.
CMA Preparation
Assist with preparation for Health Assessments by gathering information, preparing documentation, and helping streamline GP workflows.
Mass Immunisation Clinics with GPs
Support the delivery of vaccination and immunisation clinics alongside GPs, helping practices scale efficiently during seasonal or targeted programs.
A Different Way to GP Practice Nursing
GPAC-N elevates nurses who want to work with a focus on Aged Care, contribute meaningfully to patient care, and have greater control over how they practice.
By connecting skilled nurses with GPs across the community, we help strengthen primary care capacity while creating flexible professional opportunities for nurses.
Rethink GP Aged Care
If you are an experienced Practice Nurse (RN or EN) with General Practice or Aged Care experience and are looking for a more flexible way to work, we would love to hear from you.
